The Phoenix Literary Arts Magazine

       The mission of this magazine is to allow students to explore their literary and artistic talents. Many gifted individuals among us now have a chance to be acknowledged. Our community of artists, writers, musicians, and photographers now has the opportunity to publish its creations. This particular body of work is called The Phoenix. The Phoenix, a symbol of immortality and resurrection, was a great golden bird that, every five hundred years, consigned itself to flames, therefore allowing its young to be spawned. Just as the Phoenix returned to life, our magazine will rise from its predecessors, sparking the fires of creativity in its wake. The Phoenix is a fitting title because the literary magazine continues to become reborn- each birth heralding enduring vitality: the hallmark of continuity and immortality. Every person involved in recreating The Phoenix expects that it will live on and become a revered part of the student experience. This instrument of expression is our legacy that, we hope, will be continued by future generations.
