The Phoenix Literary Arts Magazine
ABOUT US
The Phoenix
The Phoenix Literary Arts Magazine was created in 1999 by a couple of passionate Benton Central students and Ms. Sandy Herre, the educator in charge of the publication. The first issue was created with very limited funds and a lot of creativity. Now, Ms. Herre is still in charge of the publication and pushes her passionate students to create each issue. She lives by the motto "I will help in any way I can, but I will not create the magazine." So for 23 years, this magazine has been run by Benton Central students.
Every volume is made up of work created by the students at Benton Central. This magazine allows all students the opportunity to show their work. From writings, photography, art, and 3-D rendering, we can showcase the many talents of our students and even staff.
